Hello and Welcome,
Next week we have another interesting SIG meeting at Penrith. The details are:
Saturday 3 September - Penrith Group - F. Bowman - 2:00pm - 5:00pm
At their last meeting, the group made an image of the C: drive in a laptop running Windows 7. They then swapped the hard disks to check if the exercise was successful. Fortunately, it was a success and everything worked! The operation took a little over 90 minutes.
This month the group has a few items from previous meetings to finish before they commence their usual question and answer session where problems, advice and tips are shared.
They will then move on to look at:
- some of the features in Microsoft Publisher;
- two image editors to compare their image resizing, cloning and red eye removal features;
- Easeus Partition Manager (a freeware program);
- some of the freeware and shareware available from PC World;
- how well an entry level Kindle can handle a graphics slide show and small videos; and
- some freeware hard disk diagnostic programs.
The Penrith SIG meets at St Clair High School, Endeavour Avenue, St Clair.
You are welcome to attend.
Please remember if your e-mail address is changed for any reason at all, unless you tell me your new address you will not receive these weekly updates! Any change of address should be notified to email@example.com
